The National Indigenous Allied Health Australia Conference will take place in Perth, Australia, 27-29 November, 2017.

Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA), a national not for profit, member-based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health organisation, will hold its 2017 IAHA National Conference in Perth, Western Australia, 27-29 November 2017.

The conference theme is Care, Cultures and Connection, which reflects three key factors that influence the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and allied health context, building culturally responsive connections and relationships and valuing cultures, cultural knowledge and perspectives will contribute to the delivery of culturally safe and responsive care.

The conference values are built on the strengths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and allied health workforce and fosters collaboration and connection.

The 2017 IAHA National Conference will provide an inclusive meeting place to:

  • Network culturally and professionally
  • Strengthen clinical and non-clinical knowledge and skills
