NCDFREE Geneva Bootcamp

24 November 2017 - 25 November 2017 Geneva, Switzerland Add to calendar

The NCDFREE Geneva Bootcamp will run from 24-25 November, 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Global Health Centre at the Graduate Institute is partnering with NCDFREE, a global social movement dedicated to combatting Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), to host a one and a half day workshop focusing on adapting the Commercial Determinants of Health and the Health in All Policies approaches to tackling the NCD epidemic.

The workshop will provide attendees the skills, knowledge, confidence, and connections to become agents of change. At the bootcamp, both established and emerging leaders in global health will provide the participants with sessions and skills in framing ideas, connecting to a team, refining chosen approach, and enacting change.

Professor Ilona Kickbusch will deliver the keynote speech to kick off the bootcamp on the Friday evening, focusing on the timely and crucial issue of commercial determinants of health. Other speakers and detailed programme of the bootcamp will be announced soon.

The Bootcamp targets millennials from both health and non-health backgrounds, and is completely free to attend. However attendees are selected on a nomination basis, and you can nominate yourself or a friend.
