The Australian Embassy in Nepal has provided support to the Nepal Heart Foundation for RHD, while the Australian Ambassador, HE Glenn White has attended some of the programs run by the organization.

The Nepal Heart Foundation will receive USD 28,000 for RHD prevention and for support to RHD patients through an Australian government scheme that gives directly to community programs run by civil societies and NGOs.

With these funds, the Nepal Heart Foundation will undertake heart and throat screening for 15,000 children in five districts, as well as awareness and advocacy training.
