The Pacific Community (SPC) is holding an online photo competition entitled: ‘Focus on NCDs in the Pacific’.

The competition is designed to raise awareness about non-communicable diseases in the Pacific and the role each person can play in prevention.

NCDs (e.g. diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, cancer) are a serious problem in Pacific Island countries and territories, causing stress to individuals and families and placing pressure on island health systems.

Entry is free and open to both amateurs and professional photographers. Anyone 16 years or younger who wishes to enter will have to obtain their parents’ permission before submitting their entry.
