Today at WCC | Tuesday 7th June
On the final day of the World Congress of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Health, there are a variety of sessions and presentations taking place.
The day kicks off with a session entitled ‘Trends and transitions in rheumatic heart disease’. The session will include presentations by Gene Bukhman of NCD Synergies, who will speak on using RHD as a sentinel disease to evaluate NCD programmes, and Professor Ganesan Karthikeyan from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, whose talk will focus on the global burden of RHD.
This is followed by a hands-on RHD echocardiography session in the afternoon. This will be interactive, with participants invited to share their knowledge and experience on opportunities to use echo screening to find patients at the highest risk of RHD.
The closing ceremony for the Congress will begin at 16:00.
