Sudan's new Guidelines for RHD were launched last month, marked by a workshop on RHD management based on published guidelines on 22 August 2015. The workshop was attended by 65 physicians, of whom 25 were from Sudan’s four RHD target areas. The book of guidelines was distributed widely at its launch, alongside posters and pamphlets which continue to be distributed locally.
