Today, Saturday 4th June, marks the beginning of the World Congress of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Health in Mexico City.

The opening ceremony will be held in the afternoon, followed by a welcome reception, while the exhibition centre, including the RHD Action stand, opens at midday.

There are also various pre-congress sessions taking place alongside the congress, on topics such as paediatric cardiology and paediatric cardiac surgery, which will explore priority setting in resource-restricted settings. The 5th International Conference on Women, Heart Disease and Stroke will also be held today.
